“I believe in unity and equality.”
Me in a word: Bubbly
The first 21 years in my life included a period of acknowledging all the things that happened in my childhood: my need for acceptance, belonging, and connection. I’ve had to fight some limiting beliefs and understand that no matter how bad things are – life goes on.
After my matric year, I worked part-time and studied for an HR Diploma, then worked with the same Business Management Training College for 8 years. At that time, I had no thoughts of marriage or kids, but focused on looking after my mom and siblings.
My next move was to the corporate world. And although I hadn’t planned it, today I’m married with six children – a big, blended family. It’s not easy, but I give it my all.
I love shopping, music festivals, long drives and collecting music: jazz, soul and R&B.
Thanks to streaming services there’s so much entertainment, but most of my time I listen to music – and I wish I could be a great dancer, one who knows all the latest dance trends
My desert island survival mate would be my sister. She turns every situation into laughs and is calm, never panicky. My favourite snack is a drink: COKE.
Am I a typical Virgo? I think so: I’m thoughtful and organised, a perfectionist who’s a supportive friend and advisor. People say I’m a people’s person, spontaneous, and easy-going. I believe in unity and equality.
If I could pick a great travel adventure anywhere, I’d love to tour Africa, to experience how the people on our continent live.
If I was in charge, and could have the power to do anything, I’d make sure there were jobs for everyone.
I’m new to Learning Curve, so I’m just getting to know everyone. It’s a diverse team of success-driven individuals. I like its unpretentiousness, transparency and the level of empathy shown to employees.
