“Changing the world, one licence at a time.”
Me in word: Loyal
Growing up I had a pretty normal childhood, mum & dad and two sisters. After high school I got the opportunity to visit family in Switzerland, which opened my eyes to a completely different culture and way of living.
I came back and joined the ministry, then met my husband in 2014. The following year, I left the ministry to study psychology, but had to quit once we found out that the baby I was expecting was diagnosed with spina bifida.
These days, at home, like all well-balanced, sane women I like watching true crime and home makeover shows – when I can get my hands on the remote.
I’d love to have more travel adventures with my husband and son. Alaska is my dream destination, and if I were lost in the wilderness my survival partner (aside from my husband) would be Bear Grylls. (But if we just needed entertainment it would be Johnny Depp or Harvey from Suits.)
I’m a pretty good judge of character and a good listener. I’m totes jealous of anyone that can play a musical instrument and anyone with great fashion sense.
At Learning Curve, I’m an HR team of one. (A freakin’ amazing team!) I work closely with finance and our operations manager and they’re great to learn from, offering support and a sounding board.
If I could change the laws, travel visas or passports wouldn’t be a thing – and everyone would have to eat dessert before every meal. (You’re welcome.)
Working at Learning Curve for my family-in-law has turned out to be the biggest blessing.
We want this company and its people to succeed – and we’re determined to change the world, one licence at a time. (Watch this space.) My husband, Daniel and I both work for Learning Curve; this is our family. There’s no competition. We work hard, but we also have fun. We’ll tell you when you’ve messed but we’ll also say “I love you” when you need it.
My desk drawer snack? Chocolate, always chocolate.
