In Our Customers’ Own Words

Here are just a few of the ways we have helped educational organisations just like yours:

Cape Peninsula University of Technology

Rolling out a new overtime claim form

CPUT was looking for a solution to replace its manual system for overtime claim submissions. Previously, these claims had to be sequentially signed by the employee, supervisor, HOD, and finally, the Faculty Dean, before receiving a signed acknowledgment from the payroll department. It was a time-consuming administrative nightmare.

Learning Curve helped CPUT implement a webform integrated with Adobe Acrobat Sign that dramatically reduced approval time from days to minutes as approvers no longer needed to physically print, sign, and scan the form and now had the ability to electronically sign the forms from their laptop, desktop or mobile device from anywhere.

The Durban University of Technology AppFactory

Integrating Adobe Acrobat Sign into existing applications and workflows

DUT AppFactory embedded Adobe Acrobat Sign within its applications and processes via integrated Adobe widgets and web parts. This fusion involved preparing documents for signatures, uploading them to Adobe Acrobat Sign, and then constructing and displaying the widget/web form. By integrating these widgets, DUT AppFactory effortlessly incorporated the e-signature process into its platform and uploaded the finalised signed document. Throughout this journey, the Learning Curve team was an invaluable source of consistent support.

University of South Africa

E-signatures now mandatory

At the onset of the COVID-19 lockdown, UNISA began its journey with Adobe Acrobat Sign. As a testament to the utility of the tool, UNISA has, since then, been signing approximately 4,500 documents every month. To ensure transparency and traceability, all documents that require a signature now mandatorily pass through Adobe Acrobat Sign, thanks to its audit trail feature. UNISA found Adobe Acrobat Sign not only secure but also significantly more efficient than physical signing methods. The platform’s reminder emails for pending signatures further enhanced this efficiency.

Stellenbosch University

Keeping track of documents for approval

Stellenbosch University needed an efficient online signing system to track and share approval documents across support services. Just as in its previous manual systems, the digital transition required individual team accountability. Meeting specific standards was crucial, especially within the financial department where operational procedures were paramount. Transitioning to a paperless system with Adobe Acrobat Sign streamlined admin duties, sending email notifications and links to all levels in the university’s hierarchy, ensuring prompt task completion.

Staff at the university also required external consultants to use Adobe Acrobat Sign for approving and signing proforma documentation—a task once constrained by physical commutes, which led to extensive delays. Now, stakeholders can sign a single document, and participants are only notified once all sign-offs are complete, eliminating unnecessary logins and boosting efficiency. With Adobe Acrobat Sign, the approval turnaround time has dramatically decreased, and print-time has become virtually obsolete.

The Bottom Line

Adobe Acrobat Sign isn’t just an e-signature solution, it’s a game-changer for modern operations. It caters to diverse sectors, including small and large educational institutions, and it is user-friendly enough to be maximised by users of all technical levels. By championing efficiency and integration, Adobe Acrobat Sign paves the way for a present and future where transactions are swift and straightforward.
